West Virginia seeks kin of missing Korean War MIAs
The West Virginia Division of Veterans Affairs joins the U S Defense Department and the armed services in a public outreach to locate families of service members still listed as missing in the Korean War. State officials note many records were lost or mislaid, and say North Korea dialogue and renewed record reconstruction aim to identify living or deceased servicemen and arrange proper burials where needed. The Pentagon requests family names, addresses, and relationships. WV offers toll free lines for each service. So far three inquiries have been received from West Virginia families.
