Baileyville man pleads guilty to Tylox drug charges
Anthony C. Browning known as Mousie of Baileyville pleaded guilty in federal court to distribution of Tylox within 1000 feet of Baileyville High School and obtaining Tylox by deception. He faces up to 44 years and a $2.25 million fine. He was arrested after an ongoing state and federal investigation into a Tylox distribution conspiracy.

Single vehicle crash kills Clay man on Route 39
A 27 year old Clay man, Adam Naylor, died early Monday after losing control on a curve on state Route 39 in Nicholas County. His 30 year old passenger Kenneth Naylor was thrown from the 1985 Chevrolet and treated for injuries. Both were taken to Summersville Memorial Hospital. Adam Naylor was pronounced dead. Kenneth Naylor was treated and released.

Body found after three day search for Alderson man
Gene Stewart Rogers, 43, disappeared when his canoe overturned on the Greenbrier River Sunday. After a three day effort involving more than five agencies and a helicopter assist, his body was recovered near Alderson about 4 p.m. His son and daughter swam to shore.
