VAN NUYS UPI Tomas Kiko Estrada 30 was to be arraigned today for the murder of detective Sidney Riegel 44 in Pacoima a week ago. Estrada with a long record including armed robbery narcotics violation was arrested Saturday after surrendering through The Mirror. North Hollywood police said Estrada confessed killing the detective during a raid on a house suspected of harboring suspects in a $9 armed robbery.

A Greyhound bus carrying nine CORE members was attacked by about 100 white men in Anniston Alabama. The mob hurled stones set fires and tried to force occupants off the bus, which was burned. three people were hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
