Kennedy orders full review of foreign intelligence activity

Washington UPI President Kennedy formally ordered a full scale review of the United States foreign intelligence efforts. The executive order reactivates a six member external board led by James R. Killian Jr. to provide independent assessment of CIA and related agencies. The board will report periodically to the President.

Robert McCann Dies In Manila Of Cancer

Robert E. McCann, a U.S. businessman credited with building China’s first automobile assembly plant and a former prisoner in Communist China, died of cancer at Clark Air Base Hospital in Manila.
