The 86 year old, wheeled in by a chair, bowed as the sword tapped his shoulders and accepted the honor with warmth from the Queen and Lady Chaplin. Chaplin quipped he would spend the day getting drunk.

February auto sales show gains for GM and Chrysler

Teacher reinstated after nude photo controversy at Apple Valley High

House panel backs small budget cut in Ford plan
The House Appropriations Committee voted to trim only 16.4 million dollars from the federal budget rather than the 1.2 billion proposed by President Ford. It rejected rescinding 624.3 million in health and education funding for 1975 and 1976 while approving reductions of 10 million for agriculture, 5 million for the Inter-American Cultural and Trade Center, nearly 1 million from foreign currency programs, and 500 thousand from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
