Amin claims mercenaries march on Uganda

Israel to Receive Most Aid in Carter Foreign Package

The Carter administration unveiled a 2.2 billion dollar foreign military aid plan for fiscal 1978. Israel would get about one billion in weapons loans, with half canceled as a gift and the rest repaid at low interest. The package also includes Jordan 131.5 million, Korea around 280 million, Turkey 250 million, and Greece 137 million in mostly loan form.
