Redlands Hospital Auxiliary installs new officers
Mrs John E Nobles accepted the presidency of the Redlands Community Hospital Auxiliary from Mrs James H Moore at a Contemporary clubhouse ceremony. New officers include Mrs Willis Worcester first vice president Mrs Wayne Smith second vice president Miss Lucille Astracan recording secretary Mrs George Meier corresponding secretary Mrs Howard Simpson and Mrs Leo Thayer treasurer and assistant treasurer Mrs G Edgar Berresford parliamentarian and Mrs Oral Baker director of volunteers. About 140 Pink Ladies and guests attended with hospital administrator George De Lange chief of medical staff Dr Harold Hill and Mrs Hill board president Charles Parker. Rev Donald Weemhoff offered invocation. Moore received Certificates of Appreciation and Worcester displayed the silver service gift. A period fashion show by the California Lutheran Medical Center guild featured Thrift Shop fashions from the 1950s to pre century days.

AARP Bus Trip to Los Angeles Farmers Market
Smiley Heights AARP chapter will run a Saturday bus outing to the Los Angeles Farmers Market. The YWCA departure is set for 10 a.m. with a sold-out trip. Reservations are taken by Jacy Darling. The chapter met at Weeks Hall First United Methodist Church to plan the event and future travels including Holiday on Ice and a Death Valley trip.
