Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc reported an $8,716,000 loss for the 1963 period ending March 15, compared with a $2,553,000 profit a year earlier. The board approved a regular 37.5 cent quarterly dividend. Trieste prepared for voyage to sunken Thresher scene

Scientists transfer to marine research vessel
Four scientists were moved to the research ship Atlantis II to map the North Atlantic floor where the Thresher submarine lies. Navy hero of WWII dies of leukemia
DETROIT UPD William E. Delaney 46 a decorated Navy pilot credited with sinking a Japanese battleship in World War II died Friday of leukemia. Delaney was 28 when he and two crew members in a dive bomber scored four direct hits on the battleship Yamato in the Pacific but parachuted from the plane after it was hit. He clung to a life raft for four hours under ship guns until rescued by a Navy patrol plane.

Santa Monica United Press International reports Ricky Nelson the singer took out a marriage license to wed Kristin Harmon 18 daughter of sportscaster Tom Harmon.
