The county reports almost $16 000 in payroll this week as Civics Works funds street and public projects. Local crews extend sewer and water work, park and theatre construction, road widening, and school grounds improvements benefiting up to 160 workers and multiple nearby communities.
Mr and Mrs H Trexell with Mr and Mrs H Coro Hie visited CCC Camp No 46 near Three Lakes on a snowy day. The camp lay out like a small village with seven barracks, a bath house, wash room, and a garage like building. Barracks housed forty boys each and electricity was not yet available. A buck was seen by the road and several boys worked chopping wood, thirteen cords burned daily. Marion Robinson and brother Lawrence spent Thanksgiving with their parents. The Raymond L A S held Thanksgiving Gunner at the church and the Marion Grange degree team planned a walk and harvest feast for five candidates Friday.

Miss Claris Darling daughter of Mr and Mrs Gordon Darling and George Turner of Wisconsin Rapids were married at Berlin last Thursday at five thirty by Rev L Ison A shower was given in their honor at the bride's parents home Saturday evening Miss Estelle Evans a third and fourth grade teacher died Monday December 4 after being absent from school only one day before Thanksgiving vacation She had taught at Wild Rose Public School for more than two decades Most of Wild Rose youth studied under her guidance her loss will be felt throughout the school and community.

Trinity Lutheran c27rch invites all members and friends to a Friday eight o’clock screening of Luther and His Times at Friedens Lutheran Church in Wautoma. Admission is free with a free will offering to cover expenses. Pastor M. A. Fleischer officiates.
The Thanksgiving program last Wednesday drew strong attendance with both pupils and teachers earning praise for a creditable show. Graduates Gertrude Traceno and Doris D Orazio visited Monday, while Miss Mabel Rasmussen substituted for Miss Kileen who went to Superior for Thanksgiving. Basketball practice continues as funds allow. two upcoming away games include Berlin on Tuesday December 1 and Montello on Friday in a conference tilt.

Hugh Owen Jones age 27 of 1229 Rusher avenue Beloit died last Thursday at Beloit Municipal Hospital after a three week illness. He was born August 17 1886 in Llanfairfechan Wales and is survived by wife five children from this marriage and three children from a prior marriage. He also leaves three brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 pm at the Rosmai Uehling Kinzer chapel with Rev James Holler officiating. Burial in Reckford cemetery.
Infant Lonna Jean Kinzel daughter of Arthur and Mrs Kinzel born February 1 1933 in Ripon Wisconsin baptized March 5 1933. She died November 28 1933 in Fordulac hospital after bronchial pneumonia. Survived by her parents and many relatives. Federal relief notices follow in the office Saturday or Monday with Tuesday closure.
Prospects for the 1933 34 Wilc Rose High School basketball team look brighter with three veterans and several reserves returning. The squad promises size speed and stronger defense and offense. A second team is being groomed and conference play opens December 15 at Hancock.
