Redgranite teams fall to Omro in two basketball games

Redgranite lost to Omro 14 to 13 in the opener and 20 to 17 in the second. Highlights include Howard Evars scoring late, and Omro's final push sealing both contests. The paper promotes a Friday visit from Princeton at Community Hall and urges support.

Schiefelbein Sentenced for Failing to Deliver Calendars

Ben Schiefelbein of Berlin was sentenced to six months in Winnebago County jail after pleading to obtaining money under false pretenses. Arthur Bradley of Fisk said Schiefelbein took $9 in cash and $5.50 in merchandise for calendars never delivered. Durfee of Redgranite also reported $11.90 paid by check for calendars not supplied. Local inquiries say Schiefelbein operated as Berlin Press with similar failures across Clintonville Manawa Waupaca and nearby towns.

Semester closes as geometry added for second term

Last Friday marked the close of the first semester. Only one new subject will be offered next semester, solid geometry, following the advanced algebra course. Our freshman class will have one less in the second term as Aubrey Baxter moved to Portage and joined the ninth grade.

Four Students Enroll at Wanto ma High Part of First Semester

TREI OF LIFE grade in the high school of that city. Four of our present high school students were enrolled at Wantoma High part of the first semester. Two of these are members of our freshman class. These two are Margaret Hansen and Norma Lipké. The other two, Dorothy Hansen and Gwendolla Lipke, are sophomores.

Debate Teams Gather for Redgranite Tournament

Eight teams from Ripon Berlin and Waupaca arrive with coaches to debate in two-person rounds at Redgranite on Wednesday afternoon. Four debates run concurrently with two speakers per team, each debate lasting one third shorter than previous sessions.
