Hunter's Safety Course Signups in Red Bluff

Signups for a Hunter's Safety Training Course conducted by the Red Bluff Fire Dept are limited to 35 for next Monday and Wednesday classes. The course will be held at Red Bluff Station No. 2 at Cedar and Jackson Streets.

Red Bluff approves airport building addition and fire protection upgrades

Red Bluff City Council approved an addition to the FAA and Weather Service offices at the airport and authorized bid calls. They also extended a water main on Reed's Avenue to aid Commander Industries and Diamond National fire protection and approved a slurry seal for 26 000 sq yd of taxiways at about 5816 dollars.

Morton Expected To Attend Dedication Of Spawning Facility

Rogers Morton secretary of the interior is expected to speak at a October 17 dedication ceremony for a salmon spawning facility. Medina Acquitted in My Lai Trial Plans to Resign

Capt Ernest Medina, acquitted of murder involuntary manslaughter and assault in the My Lai massacre, says he bears no bitterness toward the Army and plans to resign. The verdict leaves Lt William Calley Jr the sole convicted officer from My Lai. Medina testified he lost control but did not know of civilian deaths and would have stopped it if aware.

Red Bluff police investigated two thefts reported yesterday. Connie Rajanen said a battery was stolen from her Chevrolet El Camino parked on Pine Street Tuesday evening. Gary Barbour reported a tape player stolen from a car at Red Bluff Union High School.
