Corning Motorists Die In Accidents
Two Corning residents died in Labor Day traffic accidents in Tehama County. Elma Nell Weaver, 50, was killed when her pickup struck a tree on Marguerite Avenue after going out of control on loose gravel. Harold Wayne Womack, 24, died after his car hit a power pole on Corning Road. Seven others were injured in eight other weekend crashes.
