One Killed in Tehama County Holiday Accidents
Nine accidents in Tehama County over the three day holiday produced one fatality and three minor injuries. Clarence M. Stephenson 19 of Gerber died after a single vehicle crash on I 5 near the Wilcox Road off ramp north of Red Bluff. The 1964 Ford left the pavement hit the center divider rolled over and overturned. He was taken to St Elizabeth Hospital where he died. Stephenson a Sac Red Heart School and Red Bluff High School graduate attended Shasta Jr College and had just enlisted in the Marine Corps. He is survived by his parents a maternal grandmother a paternal grandfather three brothers and a sister with many aunts and uncles. A rosary and requiem mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church.
