Corning Youth Drowns Floating Down Deer Creek
A 14 year old Corning youth died when his homemade raft overturned after striking a fallen tree in Deer Creek near Vina. Jeffrey Clark Moller was recovered by divers two hours after the accident and pronounced dead at the scene. He was an eighth grader at Maywood School active in sports and known for sounding taps at area military funerals. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Corning. Burial at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
