Four Year Old Missing After River Boat Accident
Exhausted searchers and Tehama County deputies pressed on for a missing four year old girl feared drowned when a boat capsized near Battle Creek mouth. Scuba divers and a helicopter worked the Sacramento River and a log jam area as authorities hoped for recovery. The child, daughter of Mr and Mrs James Adams of Cottonwood, wore a life jacket though it may have tangled, pulling her down with the boat.
