Five fires in Tehama County were reported by the California Division of Forestry. A defective fire destroyed the Robert Burt home on Lowrey Road north of Paskenta, with about 10000 dollars in damage and most contents saved. United Press International reports killer tornadoes sweep the South late Monday into today. At least 11 people dead and over 270 injured as twisters devastate Cabot Arkansas and Canton Mississippi. Severe storm complex hits seven states with tornadoes
A large storm system lashed Arkansas Mississippi Tennessee Oklahoma Kansas Missouri Illinois and more from Nebraska to the Gulf.
