Olaf Johnson of Tehama County denies a published report that he called a coyote study an utter failure and disputes claims he spoke of astronomical deer losses or a Stanford University research link. Youth government day backs Trainor bridge naming in county

Tehama County seniors conducted a mock board session led by Bob Lange with Gretchen Anderson Diana James Steve Mendenhall and Bob Perkiss. They approved a measure urging state highway officials to name a new bridge on Route 36 West for Mayor John R. Trainor who died in a Los Angeles helicopter crash.

Sheep Diseases in Discussion Tonight in Red Bluff

Diseases and parasites affecting Northern California sheep flocks will be pinpointed at a special meeting for sheep men tonight at 8 pm in the basement of the Red Bluff Post Office. Ken Ellis, Tehama County Livestock farm advisor, says the program will focus on health and disease problems facing area sheepmen in the coming months. A panel of veterinarians will speak and answer questions from attendees.
