Tehama County Coroners Search and Recovery crew retrieved an $8,000 drag boat from four fathoms under the Sacramento River current a quarter mile north of Woodson Bridge after it capsized. Owner David Harrah, 26, of Corning, was treated at Memorial Hospital for leg injuries and released. The mishap’s cause remains unexplained. At 1 26 p.m. Jerry Horrocks reported a mattress and items burning in a Volkswagen bus at 1150 Monroe Street.

No Clues In Yosemite Search For Missing 9-Year-Old Boy
In Yosemite National Park another day of searching for 9-year-old David Holtz from Los Angeles yielded no clues. The boy, son of Lt. Col. Edward S. Holtz, was separated from his family camp last Tuesday as about 100 men combed the park on Sunday in a bid to locate him.
