Fine Suspended Sentence In Gun Brandishing Case
Gary Thomas Vance of Capay District received a suspended 30 day sentence for brandishing a deadly weapon and a $200 fine. Judge Richard Hultgren ordered two years of good behavior with the condition to pay the fine and avoid law violations or harassment of the Pitts family. The incident stemmed from a dog dispute. A separate burglary charge against hitchhiker Paul Guinther was reduced to petty theft with 20 days in jail. Kathy Weidel, 33, failed to appear on petty theft and failure to appear charges. a warrant was issued and she reportedly left for Oklahoma.
