Tehama County Band To Perform At California State Fair
The Tehama County Band plans nightly shows at the fair from July 19 to 22 at the grandstand. Led by Director F M Doty of Anderson for 20 years, with Drum Major Mike Compton of Red Bluff, the 35 member group follows a parade route and a mid grounds mini concert before the main bandstand performance. Don Crane of Chico serves as president with Compton as vice president. The band plans to wear western uniforms and aims for its 21st consecutive appearance at the California State Fair and Exposition, starting Sept 3.
