Marines Battle Viet Cong Near Saigon In Heavy Fighting

Jury Rejects $400000 Damages in Tehama Personal Injury Suit

A Tehama County Superior Court jury ruled against Floyd E. Richards of Red Bluff in his two separate personal injury actions seeking $400,000 for injuries from a forklift incident. Mills is in custody with the Redding Police after being captured in Salinas on June 14, and he had stayed with various friends in the Red Bluff area during the spree.

Red Bluff Wins City Title to Two Land Parcels

The City of Red Bluff received title to two land parcels within the city limits for conveying to the U S Government and to Southern Pacific Railroad Company. The parcels include a lakeside property at Willow to Douglas Streets and a stretch between Hickory and Pine Streets bounded by Monroe Street and an alley. The action was granted by Tehama County Superior Court with no opposition. City Attorney James G Ford cited an agreement with the railroad for curb and gutter work along Monroe Street in exchange for the land. The lakeside site will be developed as a recreation area. City Manager Heb Nelson and City Engineer Haztan Bayc witnessed the court action.
