American air cavalrymen uncovered a vast Viet Cong base about 53 miles northwest of Saigon near War Zone C. The four square mile complex reportedly housed hundreds of bunkers an underground hospital dining halls and a command post and could hold 750 to 1000 bunkers with about 5 000 or more enemy troops.
