Three youths survived 17 days in blizzard conditions on Mt Hood Oregon. They dodged an avalanche by about 20 feet and found a stove that burned after nine days. Gary Schneider 16 Randy Knapp 18 and Matt Meacham 16 hiked out near rescue Friday in good condition at Willamette Falls Community Hospital. They lost weight during the ordeal on the 11,235 foot peak near Mississippi Head.
