Unofficial tallies later suggested American deaths in the dozens and Vietnamese losses mounting, while Allied spokesmen reported enemy casualties numbered in the dozens as well.

Cairo report says 14 bodies recovered after United Arab Airlines flight from Algiers to Cairo crashed near Tripoli Libya. The plane with 19 passengers and 7 crew vanished while approaching the airport and contact with air traffic control was lost.
