Red Bank Rezone Denied by Planning Commissioners
Planning commissioners denied a proposed amendment to reclassify 419.86 acres west of Red Bank from AG to AT to permit 10 acre parcels. Developer Philip J. Cicala led the proposal amid concerns the soil is mostly low-capability class 4 and the general plan was hastily prepared. Other actions included approvals and denials of various rezonings and use permits.

Computer Model Predicts Above Normal Rainfall in California
Berkeley based climatologist Orman Granger says a century long statistical model indicates California will receive 160 percent of the 100 year normal rainfall from November through April for lowland coastal areas and at least average rainfall for the next two winters. The model also suggests higher precipitation on the western Sierra slope with an expected 95 percent confidence. Granger notes oscillation patterns over 26 months five to six years and 30 years and acknowledges some meteorologists may question his long term methods.
