Residents protest hazards at Brush Creek Bridge
A dozen residents appealed to the Supervisors to fix the dangerous Brush Creek crossing on Reeds Creek Road Was. The narrow 20 foot bridge has seen multiple accidents including a serious injury to 17 year old Randall Edmund Walker of Red Bluff and at least one fatality in the vicinity. County Road Commissioner Larry Coleman noted only one accident report on the bridge and outlined a plan in the 1975 76 capital improvements to widen and strengthen the approach areas at a project cost about 70000 dollars. Supervisor Salaguna and Coleman planned a meeting with residents today to discuss possible safety measures.
