Auto Crash Kills Man in Tehama County
A 22 year old Oregon man, James Wirtz of Gilchrist, was killed when the vehicle he rode in struck a pile of concrete septic tanks in Los Molinos California. The driver, 19 year old Tehama man Alan Dale Kocourek, was in stable condition at Corning Memorial Hospital. The crash occurred on 99E near Aramayo Way when Kocourek lost control and left the road. The CHP said the incident remains under investigation and noted this fatality was the fourth in Tehama County that week and the twelfth of the year.
