One Driver Injured As Pickups Collide in Corning
A Central Valley man, Edward Leonard Milligan, 27, was treated at Corning Memorial Hospital for a broken leg and multiple lacerations after his pickup collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Wesley William Redwine, 60, near Corning on South Avenue. Redwine left to turn into a private drive as Milligan attempted to pass. Milligan’s pickup was destroyed.

Two Corning Boys Arrested For Theft Of PG E Vehicle
Two Corning youths aged 11 and 13 were arrested on a theft charge after taking a PG E service truck from Hubert C Weeks’s residence. They admitted the act and were stopped on Interstate 5 at the Corning interchange while en route to Orland and then Redding. They are in juvenile hall awaiting a detention hearing before Judge Curtiss E Wetter. The hitchhiker was not involved.
