Sam Thurber was named manager of the Red Bluff Bull Sale by directors this week. Arizona born and longtime Tehama County resident, he has worked as a stock grader and is now assistant manager at Shasta Livestock Auction Yard. Thurber replaces Jo Anne Westfall, who, with her husband, moved to Oregon last year and has since returned. Director Abner McKenzie cited inability to stay close as reason for change and thanked the Westfalls for their contributions.
