Three Red Bluff youths identified as Dennis Patrick O Leary 15 James Leon Tomson 18 and Karen Leigh Erbes 18 had marijuana possession charges dismissed by Tehama County District Attorney. Motorcycle Race Injures Red Bluff Man in Hills North of City
Red Bluff resident James Bruce Gillespie, 33, sustained extensive facial injuries after a motorcycle race in the hills north of Red Bluff brought him into the path of Eddie Lee Skaggs, 26. CHP said Gillespie turned too sharply, Skaggs attempted to lay his bike down, but Gillespie was struck by the crankshaft area. Both bikes suffered no damage.

Highway 36 Work Completion Date Set
Motorists on Antelope Blvd east of Red Bluff will gain a five lane highway by late summer with a $2.5 million project near Red Bluff. Engineer Stan Newell says completion is about September, including new traffic signals at Antelope and Gilmore as well as Williams Ave. The project doubles bridge widths over the Sacramento River and sloughs and adds lighting and railing on the bridge. Construction from Chestnut Ave to the Y is finished. Signals, among the state’s most modern, will go into operation in May with green flow and cross traffic sensing, eventually automated left turns.
