Harry K. Thaw is arrested in Colebrook New Hampshire by Coos County sheriff after a three hour chase that included crossings into Canada and Vermont. He resists and yells kidnapping as Canadian and Vermont officers escort him to the border.
Trial in the A. L. Séonece et al versus G. W. Sconce et al continued past 2 PM as rebuttals and sur rebuttals stretch into Thursday or Friday. Judge Spencer ordered L A MacDonald to sell 25 acres of the Wm E King survey near Drop in Thatcher et al vs Thatcher. Deputy Galligher brought Leonard H Williams, indicted for burglary, from Huntsville. Williams is in the penitentiary on a prior conviction and facing new charges. The case charges Sergeant Wheeler and guards Fain and Stewart with negligent homicide. Preliminary hearing will decide if they are held for Fort Bend County Grand Jury or discharged. Sergeant bond set at $1000 guards at $500 each.
Thaw crossed the Vermont border at Norton Mills at 8 55 am and was released by Canadian authorities who allowed him to go freely. He rode with news photographers to Averill Vermont arriving by 9 am then went on to Stewartston by 10 am and to a farmhouse stop at 11 am with no official escort or stated destination.
