Thaw Reaches Border and Moves Toward Vermont

Thaw crossed the Vermont border at Norton Mills at 8 55 am and was released by Canadian authorities who allowed him to go freely. He rode with news photographers to Averill Vermont arriving by 9 am then went on to Stewartston by 10 am and to a farmhouse stop at 11 am with no official escort or stated destination.
