Sergeant J. D. Manley charged with killing Louis Reichenstein during the Taft ceremonies in Dallas. The examining trial was postponed awaiting grand jury action. Reichenstein, deputy county clerk, died eight hours after being wounded. survived by a wife and four children.
Thirty Shreveport near-beer sellers convicted for violating prohibition. Sentences amount to fifty months' imprisonment with road work or fines totaling 10 000 dollars.
Fire at 4 30 this morning gutted six frame store rooms in J J Graner's meat market Henrietta causing about 11000 in losses with roughly 7000 insured. Listed losers include J J Graner Frank Donley VY Winter W T Allen and W H Sartains. Cause is a mystery.

Mrs Laura Steiner widow of Dr Joseph Munroe Steiner of the U S Army died suddenly late last night at the home of Congressman A B Burleson of Texas. She is mother of Mrs Burleson and her body will be sent to Austin for interment accompanied by Congressman and Mrs Burleson.
Sheriff Orr returned from Fort Worth with Andrew Dillard formerly of the county who was arrested at Haslett in Tarrant county. Complaint filed against Dillard by the father of a girl under fifteen living near Ponder. Dillard is about fifteen years old.
T H Carrico dies at his home north of Sanger after a long cancer struggle. Funeral to inter his remains in Sanger cemetery this afternoon. He leaves four daughters and two sons Ed and Tom Carrico of the community Mesdames Tucker G W Sullivan and Will Smith of Sanger and Mrs Gillette of Hobart Okla. He was an ex Confederate who served in the 6th Kentucky cavalry under Generals Forest and Morgan.
Denton motorist Gran Christal appears in both the first and second races at the Dallas fair. He drives a 4 cylinder Buick Model 10 special in a 5 mile open state championship for owners only and a 5 mile stock car event listed between 8500 and 1250 dollars.
