The Denton Club Mothers' Club met Wednesday afternoon at Mrs Ed Wilson's home with about twenty members. Mrs Stout chaired as members answered roll call and the program opened with a reading on The Thanksgiving Spirit. A duet by Mesdames Deavenport and Gober Wright closed the program before a social hour and salad course. Guests included Mesdames Gober Wright Hugh Grant Ratliff and Ed Wilson Jr.
Local notes record numerous visitors and family gatherings for Thanksgiving. Names include Day Mays from Dallas and Beulah Schilds from San Antonio visiting Miss Lula Taylor, with others from Argyle Wise County Terrell and Louisville. Several travel to Austin for the A M football game and relatives gather in Dallas Sherman Denison and Rio Springs.
