E. P. Turner and party promoters of the Dallas Denton interurban, after a Denton Dallas show, planned a Denton visit Thursday to three days of field work seeking right of way locations and stock subscriptions as final organization nears. He expected construction to start within weeks but had no firm announcement.

Mrs Daisy McLaurin Stevens of Mississippi was unanimously chosen President General of the United Daughters of the Confederacy in the New Orleans convention. Mrs Cornelia Branch Stone of Texas was named honorary President General.

A blaze last night at Sam Houston Normal in Huntsville destroyed the gymnasium and music hall. The fire caused about 1200 dollars in damage with 1000 dollars insured.
