Students cheer the Yucca editor in chief election set for tomorrow after a brisk two week campaign. The annual feature of student life highlights campus political engagement and student media leadership.
Four candidates compete for the Yuecca Normal College annual editor in chief post in Tuesday afternoon elections at the auditorium. Mamie Walker of the Current Literature Club leads as associate editor last year and is backed by Teachers and students while others include Reagan and Lees teams and Mary Arden and Current Literature club entrants in a spirited student political contest.
Miss Katherine Black from Pittsburg tops the Mary Ardens list as Editor-in-Chief candidate for the Queen. A San Antonio city schools teacher with promotions, she is praised as a popular all round student and elected Treasurer of the Athletic Association, captain of a progressive group.
