North Texas State Normal held its final exercises Tuesday morning as 206 graduates received diplomas. State Superintendent Brasley delivered the graduating address.
North Texas Normal College at Denton awarded 256 diplomas the highest in Texas college history along with 255 first grade state certificates and 259 second grades during Tuesday morning commencement. State Superintendent F M Brasley lauded the institution and urged expanded public education and future bonds to fund more schools.
General Bennett H Young of Louisville appealed to Confederates in Chattanooga praising bravery of all races and recalling battles from Port Arthur to Shiloh while noting Tennessee’s pride. He warned the Confederate memory would fade but remain unfading in history.

In Salisbury England on May 27 Coloyns Key a British aviator and a passenger escaped a 1200 foot fall from a blazing biplane. They reached ground safely and exited the craft as the gasoline tank exploded and flames enveloped the craft. The carburetor cut off fuel and the plane nosed into a steep descent before the fire halted.
