Ed Goss was moved to Fort Worth then to the state penitentiary to begin life imprisonment for the murder of Henry Davis. After a hung jury in Cooke County the case went to Denton County, where Goss withdrew his not guilty plea and received the minimum penalty of life imprisonment.
