A windstorm at Corinth caused damage to one residence a barn and several outbuildings with trees blown down and hail reported in multiple areas. The event disrupted the area as rain was widespread with hail reported in many locations.

Dr Bizzell gave an address on The Girls A M and praised the meeting as one of the best ever. Will Edwards was praised as an ideal president with the event reaching a high water mark.
A man described as a stranger to Denton was jailed today after being brought in by officers. He sustained a head wound during a prom incident and is reported by authorities to be in grave condition, with death expected before morning. Officers have not released his name.
A strange negro arrived by auto with an escort to Denton at 10 AM Friday and was jailed after arrival. He bears a wound and officers say he may die. The auto, stuck in mud at Hickory crossing, was pulled free by W A Cowan who drove the party to town.
Judge Swayne ordered the grand jury to indict Tom Lee. Lee was spirited away in an automobile with authorities unsure of his location, while two condemned murderers from Robt. Knetch case were moved from jail to avert mob violence. Riot damage estimated at $15,000.
State troops guarded the Tarrant county jail this morning to prevent a repeat of last night's mob action seeking Tommie Lee the man who killed Officer Ogletree and Walter Moore and wounded four others. Property damage to African American property is estimated at $1600.
May 16 report says Tom Lee a negro porter opened fire after a pool hall confrontation killing police officer J A Ogletree and Walter Moore while wounding two white youths and another black man. Lee wounded himself as crowd pressed him under a culvert and militia then guarded the jail.
President Wilson and his cabinet prepared a reply to the Japanese protest against California anti alien land laws. The statement will be made public after presentation to the Japanese ambassador.
