Washington May 12 Unseasonably high temperatures are not expected anywhere this week. The Weather Bureau forecast says temperatures rise in the Eastern States Monday and cooler in the extreme Northwest with frost Monday night. No significant precipitation is expected, with local showers in the first three days and fair weather the latter half of the week.
Four men riding in a wagon near Tulsa were instantly killed by a lightning strike. They were employees of the Texas Pine Line company. A fifth person was fatally injured.

Mrs A L Marshall of Nashville editor of the Voice mission publication and M E Church South Mission board member spoke at First Methodist church Sunday to a large audience. Her address covered broad aspects of missionary work and was regarded by many as one of the strongest talks on mission fields ever heard in Denton.
Manila May 12 The worst typhoon in years struck the islands yesterday bringing many deaths and wrecking several small steamers and numerous lighter craft. The total known sea death toll is fifty eight with reports still arriving. It is believed no Americans were killed.
In Shreveport Louisiana this morning Ruff Motley of Marshall Texas was instantly killed and Fred Owen of Marshall was fatally injured when a motor car overturned near Shreveport.

Claude Beemer of McAlester Oklahoma and Miss Leata Senter of Kansas City Missouri were married at the home of A D Rogers pastor of the First Christian church at 10 o clock Sunday morning. The ceremony took place in the presence of Rogers family the bride's mother and Mr and Mrs Vance of McAlester who accompanied them. The groom's mother was a former friend of Mr Rogers and they came to be married. Mr and Mrs Vance were wed in Fort Worth the day before.
