Governor avoids promise on third special session
May 6 AUSTIN Governor Campbell refused to say if he will call a third special session if a bank deposit guaranty law fails. Rep Moseley and others expect a third session unless fate of the bill is decided in this session. Lieutenant Governor Davidson sustained Terrell of McLennan that the bill is a substitute not an amendment and must go to the regular committee. House moves to clear the calendar passing land office reform and a tax on non intoxicating malt liquor dealers.
