Governor Breaks Record for Signing Bills and Honors
In Austin on March 17 the Senate adjourned after a six minute session in honor of St Patrick's day and Senator Kellie's sixty fourth birthday. A second special session may be called as Representative Mobley seeks to push fourteen measures, with the Governor expected to act on platform demands and other laws. The bank guaranty issue draws Speaker Marshall's opposition to deposit time or interest guarantees and loan limits based on bank capital stock. A Senate committee reported against the infre jurors bill but approved Hudspell's experiment stations bill for Tom Green and El Paso counties.
