G. H. Stallings and J. J. McKnight, both west of the city, ordered silos for immediate construction. The wood silos with hinged doors are among the first in Denton county as interest grows among local farmers to build silos this year.

At the Fat Stock show J. J. McKnight of Denton earned multiple honors including best ram lamb under one year and top ewe lamb besides first and second places in several divisions. A. D. Turner of Denton also collected top awards in Shropshire categories with best ram and best ewe possibilities and multiple firsts in various classes.

District court shows little activity after jury case completion. A new order was entered Thursday afternoon in H. F. Schweer vs J. F. Stone to cancel deed and foreclose after a plaintiff verdict. Fire alarm from the second district was turned in by Mrs. T. E. Berry who found a blaze in the dining room. The fire charred the sliding doors but was extinguished in time to avoid a department call. A charred match lay on the floor, possibly struck by a mouse, with slight damage overall.
