Gainesville Texas March 4 The soliciting committee reports about all but a small sum of the 75000 bonus subscribed to build a railroad from Gainesville to Decatur and on to Bridgeport. Twelve local citizens contract to build the road at about 500000 cost if the bonus is granted. Promoters guarantee to begin work in sixty days and have cars running to the county line eighteen miles away in eighteen months, after which the bonus is paid. The project aims to unlock a rich Texas farming area.
