Associated Press dispatch from Boua France reports Capt. Ubois and Lieut. Peignan French army officers killed when two biplanes collided in midair amid morning haze. Peignan died instantly while Dubois survived about an hour before dying.

Hadley ruled out a bolt while discussions over substituting 92 Roosevelt delegates for Taft’s seats dominated the session. Hemenway clashed with Pennsylvania delegates as tensions flared and the three hour debate was staged with Loud exchanges and protests.
Nervous air at the convent as fewer than 20 spectators and eight delegates attend the opening of the convention. Chairman Root reports an agreement for a three hour debate on substituting ninety two Roosevelt delegates for Tafite followers. Hadley opens the discussion.
Galveston report notes Harmon delegates from Severia district have filed contest papers to bring the matter before the Democratic executive Committee in Baltimore.
A cannon used in Jake Wolters reception in Vict ria exploded this morning. Iron fragments embedded in nearby buildings. no injuries reported.

Washington June 19 Representative Littleton of New York prepared a resolution urging a Congressional investigation of bribery charges at the Republican National convention. The proposed inquiry targets alleged irregularities in the Chicago gathering and names Col Harry S New of Indiana as chair of the arrangements committee and Elihu Root as chairman.
