Sheriff Orr is issuing deeds to three land tracts sold under court executions this week. M. Simmons paid $75 for an undivided interest of J. L. McCullar in property in Northeast Denton. J. M. Sanders bid $80. Eighty acres near Lewisville levied on property of John Nichols et al. Henry Maddox bid $300 for a house and lot in Northeast Denton, levied on as the property of J. W. Greenwood.

In Austin on June 6 the Daughters of the Confederacy secured a temporary writ to restrain Supt. A B Conley from ejecting any Confederates from their capitol room or interfering with their use and possession of the room. They say the space was dedicated to them by a 1903 joint legislative resolution.
