Police regain control in Jaurez amid looting at Crensken area as rioters target saloons and stores. Officers cordon streets and monitor crowds while shops report damage and theft.
Juarez garrison of about 306 mutineers rises at dawn causes looting and clashes across the city. Four Americans and eleven others imprisoned without food since yesterday noon. Reports say they aligned with Zapata or support General Orozco. later police restore some control. Two Americans reported dead and three wounded, unconfirmed.
Rioting garrison marches through Juarez streets with shots fired driving hundreds of residents to flee across the river into El Paso. Severe street fighting leaves at least fifteen reported dead or hurt.
An official report from El Paso at noon says eight killed and nine wounded in Juarez last night. Lipriano Torres, an insurgent, is the only identified casualty. Americans were barred from crossing into Juarez today. The commandant of troops and the chief of police, jailed last night, were freed today. The mutineers burned jail papers and released the prisoners.
