A report states the president is slowly improving and will not receive further mail applications for a seat on the Federal Reserve Board. No new submissions will be opened until return to Washington.
President Wilson's physician Dr. Gray son announced the president is slowly improving but needs more rest. He will limit mail and decline letters, even applications for the new Federal Reserve Board, while in Pass Christian Mississippi.
The North Texas State Normal College opens Tuesday December 30 with classes resuming on opening day. Several new students arrive to join the graduating class from D. H. S. S. The end term total may reach around 950 to 1000 as Christmas graduations from other high schools swell the attendance by twenty to fifty pupils.
Chairman McCormick calls the charter commission to assemble at city hall this Monday. After disposing of form of government and incorporation limits at the previous meeting the group will discuss remaining features. All commission meetings will be open to the public.
Richard Ross Ashley 17 was killed instantly when the automobile they rode in turned turtle two miles east of Denison on Sunday afternoon. Four companions were severely injured: C B Morrison the driver and owner, Tom Adams cousin of the dead boy, C Wilson and R J Thomas of Gunter Texas. The Gunter party were visiting Ashley.
W N Furry, veteran Paris Advocate editor and newspaper man, died in Paris Texas last night at age 60. He was a well known figure in local journalism and long associated with the Paris newspaper scene.

Cincinnati report says Robert M. Willard, an actor and magician stranded in the city, shot and killed his wife and child at a fashionable hotel. He fled through the streets in his underwear until captured. The murdered woman was from Cushing, Oklahoma, maiden name Othello Harriman.
St Louis dispatch reports Frisco telegraphers expected to strike this afternoon while railroad officials say telephone service has successfully substituted for operators, signaling changes in communication handling.
