Christmas on the island Bigbee family carols hope
The Bigbee children on a river island face Christmas without a boat as ice and snow trap the way home. Neighbors arrive with a tree full of candles and gifts, turning a lonely winter into a shared Christmas with the Scudders. Bells and carols pierce the night as lanterns drift across the frozen river.
