Police report thieves blew the Farmers Bank vault in Duncanville with dynamite but could not loot it after discovering a smaller safe inside. The explosions aroused the town and the robbers fled before taking any loot.
Denton area forecast calls for tonight fair skies with light winds. Saturday will be mild and sunny with light winds and high around the mid sixties. Overnight lows near the mid forties.
Washington reports Governor Hadley of Missouri met with Senators Borah Kenyon and LaFollette on reorganizing the Republican Party. Governors from several states gathered in Richmond to discuss the plan. A separate item notes a Senate bill proposed to ban interstate campaign contributions.
Mathias Armstrong shot and killed his father in law Sampson Williams and wounded his brother in law Reick Williams at Holland. Armstrong then shot himself and died. His wife Ollie Williams is in Dallas. A November divorce suit and restraining order preceded the tragedy.

He also took second for best profits and third for best crop story, earning $5 in gold, $2.50 in gold, and a $5 pair of shoes. Crawford has picked 1746 pounds of cotton, with about 300 pounds left to pick, selling the 1746 pounds for $70 and netting a profit of $41.10 after costs of $28.90.

County and city teachers plan a joint institute December 16 through 20, the first time such a meeting has united the two groups. The program includes talks by noted educators and possible visits by State Superintendent Bralley and Mrs. Percy V. Pennybacker.
