Seagirt August 28. Gov Woodrow Wilson voiced full support for publicity and a thorough investigation of campaign expenses as he backed the Penrose resolution demanding an inquiry into pre convention campaigns of presidential candidates.
Reports from over Denton county indicate a slight easing in the fly plague though the situation remains serious. Livestock owners across most North Texas points and parts of Oklahoma remain vigilant as 40 head of cattle were killed near Sherman Milo and losses at Denison and other sites are feared to rise. Warm humid weather is blamed for the continued visitation, with old timers noting similar outbreaks in the past.
